Meet the Pastor

Dr. Timothy Brown has been our Lead Pastor since 2016 and is excited about all that God is doing in our community, city, and beyond! Timothy is passionate about preaching through books of the Bible in a way that is creative, informative, and relevant to one’s everyday life. One of our pastor’s favorite sayings is “If you love Jesus and love the Bible, you will love it here at Radiant Church!”

Timothy’s life mission is to Encourage, Equip, and Empower God’s people to reach their full redemptive potential.

In Addition to leading Radiant Church...
In addition to leading Radiant Church, Timothy has served as an adjunct professor of preaching at Columbia International University (Columbia, South Carolina), was on the board of directors at ABCCM, and is an active member of C12 of Western North Carolina. Timothy is passionate about preaching through books of the Bible, and is passionate about encouraging, equipping, and empowering people to live out their God-given redemptive potential in Christ.

Timothy’s Ministry and Life Highlights:

Family Life. Dr. Timothy Brown is married to the love of his life-Lori Brown. Together, they currently have six children (3 boys and 3 girls). Timothy has served as the Lead Pastor of Radiant Church since 2016.
Timothy’s Life mission. Timothy’s life mission is to Encourage, Equip, and Empower people to live out the destiny that God has for their life. He has a heart for helping every Christian reach their full redemptive potential in Christ.
Passion for relevant Biblical communication: Timothy is a story telling expositor of the Word. He communicates for transformation, not just for information.

Education Background: Timothy is a lifelong learner and has advanced degrees in ministry and preaching, including a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Preaching from Columbia International University.

Hobbies: Timothy enjoys lively conversations over coffee at the local coffee houses. He also enjoys a lively game of basketball—whether it is pickup basketball or watch an NBA game on TV.

Radio Ministry-Truth for Transformation: Truth for Transformation is our radio ministry that features inspiring Bible teachings in several formats: One-minute devotionals, and verse by verse sermons through books of the Bible. The Lord has blessed the ministry of Truth for Transformation with the opportunity to minister to people all across America and beyond on more than 430 radio stations.
